Casey from Adopt a Book Aus writes about things she wishes she would have known about book bloging, as a newbie myself, it was both helpful and encouraging!
Maya from Book Dragon 1017 hits this one on the head! The first time I read this book I started crying on the subway, the looks I got! Thank you Maya for giving an honest and long review! It was lovely to read.
Lu, oh Lu. How do you just understand my love for books? Books on bad days really do help, this post makes me want to crawl under my covers and jsut read for the rest of the day.
Lu’s experience from Girl Who reads of a classmate shamingher reading choices makes my blood boil! It is not up to you what other people read! If you don’t like a certain genre or what someone is reading, then don’t read it! There are plenty of other books out there for you. Ugh. I’m sorry Lu that you had to face that!
Lia from Lost In A Story has a great concept for narrowing down your Goodreads TBR to a managable level! I am so going to do this.
These were my favorite bookish blog posts this week! What were yours?
Until Next Time,
The first weekly round-up for November! Eep! Oh my goodness, everyone has been super active this past week, it’s been fun reading all the posts. But it has also been hard to keep up. Here are a few of my favorite bookish blog posts from this past week.
Jananee gives us tips on how to avoid blogger burn out. One of her tips was to not compare yourself to other bloggers or bookstagram accounts. Just don’t do it! It can be discouraging. Praise them, but focus on the activity you getting, and the content you are putting out. comparison is a slippery slope.
Bree from Jasper + Spice did mini reviews of all the Harry Potter books and it was fun to read! Like her, I’ve seen all those movies, but have only read the first three books. This gets me excited to continue on in the series.
This is probably the funnest post I’ve read! Who would have thought to pair books and desserts and all of them are spot on! I was laughing and in awe at the creativity. Thank you Jill from Rant and Rave About Books!
Lia from Lost In A Story gave such an honest and blunt review of a book she did not like at all, and it was so refreshing! I like reading less-than-positive reviews, it lets me know that I can trust them when they love a book.
Lu always has the greatest posts, her November TBR post talks about goals for herself outside of just reading and it is inspiring. I need to create a better plan for me month!
Lu from Girl Who Reads, hit what it is like to read a good book right on the head! If you want to feel understood as a book nerd, read this. It’s wonderful.
I’m really happy with this week’s round-up, thank you to all those book bloggers for keeping it lively.
What blog post did you really enjoy this week?
Until Next Time,
I am starting a new series! Every Saturday I am going to post a round-up of my favorite bookish blog posts from around the web to share with you lovelies. Here are this week’s Picks!
The Broke and Bookish just launched the sign up for this year’s secret santa and I am beyond excited! Follow their instructions for signing, get paired up with a fellow book lover, and send each other a bookish christmas package! Don’t miss out!
Lu from Girl Who Reads launched a Goodreads group, which I am totally joining. Girl Who Reads blog is pretty much my favorite thing to read right now, so please go over there and show her some love.
As someone who wants to get in the ARC circle, this post was super helpful for long time ARC (Advanced Reading Copy) readers and people who have never heard of it!
Those are my favorite bookish reads for this week. There aren’t many this week as it is brand new, but it will pick up.
If you are a book blogger please link your blog in the comments! I would love to follow, and who know, you might be featured.
